You can’t spell Barcelona without Gaudi in it. There’s so much photogenic beauty he created throughout the city, but don’t be mistaken. Barcelona has a lot more to offer. Let’s discover it!

For a complete overview of all the best photo spots in Barcelona, with exact locations, see the map at the bottom.

Rooftop of Casa Batlló

As below, so above. The beauty of Batlló doesn't stop inside. In front of these well designed chimneys you'll find another fabulous photo location.

Sagrada Familia from Placa de Gaudi

Capture the church of all churches in all it's beauty from the park that bares the builders name. On this stone edge you have a perfect sideview of the church while the tree branches around you form a perfect natural canvas.

El Pont del Bisbe

Another bridge between buildings like we've seen them in different cities. But this is definitely one of the prettiest with it's open sides and wooden decorations. Find that perfect moment in the day when the lightning is just right and click away!

Bunkers of Carmel

Over at the old bunkers you'll find a magnificent 360 view of the city. It's been hard to find the exact location of this photo, but there should be several spots here. If you know the exact location, please let me know through email. Tip: I don't advice to climb over fences or get yourself in dangerous situations. If you do so, you do so at your own risk.

Hypostyle room park Güell

The hypostyle room is another must shoot location if you find yourself in park Güell. Tip: Keep a low photo angle to give the room and the columns more grandeur.

Park Güell Serpentine bench

Mozaïek meets design, meets a stunning view. Place yourself in front of it all and you'll find yourself being the centrepiece of a really awesome photo setting. Tip: Park Güell has so much to offer. Take your time and discover the hidden places yourself.

Palau de la Musica outdoor balcony

More pillars! Get inside the palace of music and make your way to the balcony. There you'll find these lovely mozaïek decorated pillars. Tip: When you see the indoor balcony empty on your way to the outside balcony, snap that picture first. It's easier to have a wait here, then to manage the people in the larger space inside.

Casa Vicens

For the best pictures you have to get inside. You can snap one in the street, but just like Casa Batlló, the real beauty is to be found after the ticket office. Take one in front of the door, sit in a window and go to the little tower on the top for some stunning photo's. Funfact: This was the fist house Antoni Gaudi built.

El món neix cada besada (Kiss mural)

Add a little love to your trip. This spot might be nice to make a picture together with your partner, or strike a pose and go solo. Either way, it's a nice difference from al the Gaudi-esque pictures for a change.

Sagrada Familia from the Southside

Place yourself underneath the modern side of this old marvel to see the contrast in style. Capture the whole of the Sagrada in the background to see the journey through time written in the stones of its construct. Tip: You need to get up close and personal for this one, so a wide angle won't be a bad idea. You also snap this picture from the inside of the terrain, so a ticket is required.
